WP3 – Steps to Employment Kitchen

Welcome to the Steps to Employment Kitchen! Our 3 Kitchens team has collaborated closely with educators and migrant women to develop a tailored employability program to address the unique needs and challenges that migrant women encounter in the food industry, empowering them to take confident steps toward meaningful employment.

The Steps to Employment training course is designed with flexibility in mind, offering 3 comprehensive training blocks and 12 short, accessible learning modules. These resources can be adapted to meet your specific needs, whether you’re an educator looking to deliver the course in a classroom setting (editable PowerPoint format) or a migrant woman seeking direct access to the materials (PDF format).

Three Kitchens Mentoring Programme

The Three Kitchens Mentoring Programme is designed to support migrant women seeking employment in the food sector by pairing them with experienced professionals. The initiative focuses on building confidence, professional networks, and essential skills through:

  • One-to-one mentoring with professionals from the culinary field.
  • Participative group workshops covering employability, interpersonal skills, leadership, and technical topics like hygiene, eco-responsibility, and digital tools.

Mentees engage in get togethers with mentors, gain exposure to role models, and benefit from a supportive environment that enhances their confidence, job-seeking skills, and integration into the workplace.
