About Our Project

Migrant women face significant challenges in accessing employment, entrepreneurship, and economic security. They are among the most disadvantaged groups in the EU. Despite their diversity as a group, gender and origin crisscross as disadvantage factors in their lives. Cooking is one of the few things women take with them in exile. It is a transferable know-how which makes it possible to create links easily. Subsequently, migrant women have high unemployment rates, are among the lowest-paid workers in the EU and are consistently deskilled and pushed to casual jobs in unregulated sectors.

And we are innovative...

The 3 Kitchens project recognises that female migrants have diverse needs and aspirations by offering 3 different paths (volunteering, employment, and low-barrier entrepreneurship). We also deliver on multiple Sustainable Development Goals, provide diverse paths to empowerment for female migrants, and utilise three distinct kitchens to create a multifaceted integration and skill development approach.
