Ihsaan, originally from Morocco, made a significant life change when she migrated to the UK to join her husband. After several years dedicated to managing her household and caring for her children, she decided to reignite her passion for Moroccan cuisine by starting her own catering business.
Navigating the dual responsibilities of home life and business development presented challenges, but Ihsaan found steadfast support from her friends and family. Her journey took a pivotal turn when she joined the ‘Enterprise Catalyst’ program run by Go-Woman! Alliance CIC. This program offered comprehensive training on starting a new business, covering everything from developing a business idea to research, marketing, and sales, with the added benefit of mentorship to support women in self-employment.
The knowledge and skills Ihsaan gained from the program were instrumental in helping her identify and capitalise on the local demand for Moroccan food. Armed with this information, she took the leap to transform her dream into reality.
