Titi, one of our women volunteers in Krokom, had the opportunity to volunteer in a school kitchen in one of the municipality’s villages through the 3 Kitchen Volunteering opportunities. A trained chef, through the 3 Kitchens project, she has also participated in training for hygiene safety.
When she volunteered in the school kitchen, she had the opportunity to get practical experience and build a network with those in charge of the municipality’s school kitchen. And now, completing her volunteer assignment has led to employment. Titi has had the opportunity to work for a few hours in the school kitchen in the municipality, and also, thanks to her wider experience, she also has had the opportunity to work in a local shop that has a combined restaurant.
It is wonderful to see where volunteering can really lead, and sunshine stories like Titi’s make this project worth pursuing.
